March is Free Teacher Month at the Aquarium

In the month of March, teachers will be able to visit the Aquarium for free. Bring your school ID or pay stub to the ticket window to receive free admission. By taking the opportunity to enjoy the galleries, explore the animal touch lab stations, and watch one of our many shows without their students, teachers say they feel more prepared for a field trip. Teachers visiting in March can also receive $3 off adult admission and $1.50 off child admission for up to four additional tickets.

Exhibits and programs teachers may want to investigate before visiting with their students include the Wonders of the Deep gallery featuring animals and habitats of the deep ocean, the Ocean Exploration Hub bringing footage from vessels at sea to a video screen array in the Tropical Pacific gallery, and the Ocean Science Center housing NOAA’s Science on a Sphere.

Special events at the aquarium in March include Divers Day on Saturday, March 22, and Noche de Estrellas on Friday, March 14. Visit in the afternoon and stay for a 7:00 p.m. lecture in our Guest Speaker Series, such as a presentation on small-space gardens on March 12 and on underwater volcanoes on March 25.
